This is one of the original tubular bells used by mike oldfield, possibly for the 1999 tour. Note: this bell is only a dummy bell. It was stuffed with foam and fitted with a transducer to trigger a sample. I took the foam out and gave it a thwack! great fun but it sounds absolutely terrible in my opinion.

After searching the vastness of the interweb for some 6 inch zilbel samples with no luck, i finally decided to record my own bell. Theres 3 versions of 4 single samples each, 4 chokes, 4 medium and 4 hard hits. I know a lot of you out there have been searching for some samples of one of these bells for a long time so here ya go guys, totally free, full to use for whatever you want, no credit needed to be given to me. These sound amazing in a mix and really add a lot of life to your drum tracks, they dont sound over compressed (theyre dry recordings) and they dont over power everything else, nice crisp and clear. Recorded stereo xy mic configuration with two akg ck93 capsule mic with zoom h6.

I created this sound by taking two large cobblestone blocks and hit one against the other. Good for sound design. There is a little rattle on some of the heavier hits, it couldn't be helped since the block is so heavy.

Ambient recording of the 2nd exhibition level of the "museum der bildenden künste" (museum of art) in leipzig/germany. Voices can be heard in the far distance, along with the rythmic ticking of the hydraulically powered art-installation "heart of a mountain". This file is part of the sample-pack "muzeum"recording was conducted with a zoom h2 with the internal mics set to 90° dispersion.

During my exchange semester i took a class called "sound and electronics in theater". We had to do an editing project where i had to make a 30 second sample of the sentence “a large monster charged a whole group of people. Many people died, but then one man grabbed a machine gun/knife and gunned down/chopped up the monster. ”i only used sounds from freesound. Org and edited and aranged them with reaper. We have a really old garage door that apparently is not very well lubricated. The squeaking adds a nice creepy feel, recorded using a zoom h4n field recorder.

Just decided to upload it, sorry for the noise low humming, can easily be removed in most programs. Decent sound though.
